CRIME COLOGNE AWARD 2019
HE MAKES DAY AND NIGHT.
LIKE GOD.
A windowless cabin in the woods. Lena and her two children's lives follow strict rules: meals, toilet, study, everything devoutly follows a predetermined schedule. The father provides food, protects them from the dangers of the outside world, and ensures his children always have a mother – whatever the cost.
But one day the mother manages to escape. And then the real nightmare begins. Because there are many indications that the father wants to get back what belongs to him at all costs. The police, along with Lena's family, desperately try to piece together a puzzle whose pieces don't seem to fit. What of it all is really happening and what is a product of paranoia?
