Dokgo, with no memory of how he ended up living in the Seoul train station, will end up at Mrs. Yom's convenience store, alcoholic but welcome, as he has just found her stolen wallet. He is welcome to eat there whenever he wants. On one of his visits, he manages to save the store from robbers, inspiring Mrs. Yom with the confidence to entrust him with the difficult night shift. There, Dokgo will come into contact with customers and the store's distrustful employees. It soon becomes clear that every interaction with him can only bring good. But with every person he helps, Dokgo himself changes. Mrs. Yom's son, who is determined to sell his mother's store for his own personal gain, does not share this view. So, he hires a detective to expose the mysterious stranger who is hindering his plans. The truth in the end will prove to be not a weapon but redemption, above all for Dokgo himself.

The Convenience Store is the moving story of an elderly woman fighting for her community and a middle-aged man who has lost everything but the will to try again.
