Problematic summer romance

Things aren’t always as they seem, and sometimes the most familiar clichés hide the best twists.

Maya Kilgore is twenty-three and still trying to find her way in life. Connor Harkness is thirty-eight and Maya can’t get him out of her mind.

It’s such a cliché it almost takes her breath away: older man and younger woman; successful man in biotech and struggling graduate student, her brother’s best friend and the girl he didn’t even know existed.
As Connor loves to remind her, the dynamic between them is far too unequal. Any relationship between them would be problematic in countless ways, and Maya should just get over him.

But when Maya's brother decides to get married, she and Connor end up staying together for more than a week in a romantic villa in Sicily. And then Maya begins to think that a summer adventure might be exactly what she needs, even if it is, in every way, problematic.
