The shadow circus

Lila keeps a secret place in her heart, where every night the shadows gather to play. She had never paid much attention to her Shadow, until it started acting strangely... When Lila raised her left hand, the Shadow raised its right; when Lila sat down, the Shadow stood upright.
The Shadow loved the dark. The more darkness it absorbed, the smaller Lila became and the larger the Shadow grew. However, once Lila traveled to the valley where The Circus of Shadows is located, she discovered that the Shadow was not scary at all, but funny and lively; it is also a part of her.
There, she learned to listen to her Shadow, harmoniously complementing each other.
